Friday we headed out for a little jaunt around Kate’s school campus, Pacific Lutheran University. It was lovely, and we enjoyed seeing all the beautiful flowers.
We then headed to downtown Tacoma to see the sights. Our first stop was the Chihuhly Glass Museum. This was our first view:
We walked across an awesome bridge full of gorgeous glass art work on display. The pieces were amazing and very fun!
I think the stuff outside of the museum was almost as fun as the inside, but they were all awesome!
After the museum, we headed to Point Defiance. We ate lunch at Owen Beach, then drove around and admired everything.
After the point, we headed to Tidlow Beach at low tide for some rocky shore exploring. We combed the rocks for shrimp, crabs, fish, sea anemones, sea cucumbers, limpids, oysters, and basically anything else cool we could find. We even saw some bald eagles, their nest, and heard their eaglets. Super cool! Then, my camera died, and I didn’t get an awesome picture at the restaurant where we ate dinner.
Kate was a great hostess, and we had to take a picture to document our living quarters for the trip It really was very cozy and nice.
