Rowley Christmas

We were able to head down for a quick trip to Richfield the weekend after Christmas to have a fun get-together with my family. There were so many pictures, I only was able to pick a few.
Steven and Tait havin' fun with the hammers Steven got this great yellow truck from his cousin. He loves it!
Grandma's Christmas pyramid was a big hit. For some reason Steven thought it was so funny to say "hot!" and pretend to blow out the candles
It was hard for me to get a picture of his Christmas jammies. He just does not want to hold still for pictures anymore.

Just a hangin' out

We were having fun with the little man the other night dressing him up in Daddy's coat. Obviously the dressing up fun isn't just for infants ;) Of course....little gloves are cooler than daddy's This morning Steven discovered one of the baby swings. He's been having a LOT of fun playing in it all morning.
When I tried to explain to him that the swing was for baby sister, he went and grabbed his baby, and pretended to fall asleep with the baby in the swing. As you can tell, he thinks he's pretty funny :)
Also, I noticed my count down has 23 days left. Kind of crazy! Nothing too exciting has been happening. I've had quite a few braxton-hicks contractions this week, but I can definitely tell they are not real contractions by any means. We are going to talk to a doula this weekend about massage techniques to help make laboring easier before we go to the hospital. I'm definitely excited.
Also, I've been considering taking my blog private....not sure if it will happen or not, but stay posted!

The past month in a nutshell....

I didn't realize it's been about a month since I've done an actual post, but I am going to catch up now, and hopefully stay more on top of things. Here is our month is a nutshell of pictures...
Halloween Night at our ward trunk-or-treat. My friend Christina and I both hung out giving away candy with our prego bellies and let the men folk take the kids around for candy... Steven was a big fan of the trick-or-treating idea. Although, it was more cute that he kept saying "Happy....Halloweeennn!!" We think it got him more candy anyway... :)
Eating some loot
After our ward party, we went to visit my grandparents, and Steven attempted fitting into the teeny doll rocking chair (As always)
For one of our play groups, we got to make apple turkeys
Steven has become obsessed with reading daddy's scriptures. he will sit and excitedly tell us all the letters he sees. One day he'll figure out how to put them together :)
We got to enjoy seeing the LD Singers up in our area, and I got to see one of my beautiful roomies from Snow, who just got her mission call!! Congrats Sutsa! Steven has turned his diesel truck into a horse....
Bedtime routine is not complete without daddy reading storiesThen came Thanksgiving!! We went to Richfield this year, and enjoyed a fun time with all 34 of us packed into my parents house. (That is not including the two grandchildren that are cooking. After May it will be 36 of us:)
It was kind of crazy, but admist all the craziness of course is lots of fun!! Here are Daniel, Jenny, and Hayley workin on their Gingerbread House (Which Steven calls "Birthday cakes")
Hard at work on those houses
Darrell looks so excited to show off our gingerbread house..:)
We hope everyone had a great holiday weekend! I can't wait to continue ringing in the holidays, filled with love, fun, music, family, food, and lots of other good things!!!

Pumpkin Carving

When we first moved to Logan, we made some awesome friends, the Zambersons. They are basically awesome, and that first year, we started a tradition of carving pumpkins for Halloween with them. We had so much fun, we did it again the next year. Sadly, last year, we were in different locations, and we both noticed a big absence of not enjoying each other's company.
To much relief, Amber and Zann had this brillant idea that we get together this year to continue the tradition!! This year, they came down with their darling little boy to see us, and we had a great day catching up and having fun!!!
Steven got to paint his pumpkin this year. he was a little artist with his old toothbrush and fun paints. (don't worry, he didn't try to brush his teeth with the paint) Once he got it figured out, it became more fun
Amber and Zann's pumpkins. True works of art
Darrell and my pumpkins. Darrell did a Koala in memory of his mission to Australia
And Steven's pumpkin (accompanied by Teddy's lovely bottle)
The whole fun crew! Thanks Zann and Amber for coming!! Steven keeps talking about Teddy and how much fun he had with you guys :)

Catchin' Up With the Little Man

Days are never boring with our little man. He just makes life so wonderful!
This first picture is Steven as a burrito. He woke up one morning, and was shivering, so I said, "are you brrrr cold?" and he of course said, "Brrrrr cold!" So, I told him we could wrap him up like a burrito. He thought it was the best thing ever, and he stayed in there for about 10 minutes warming up. He just keeps getting smarter and smarter, and I LOVE how he is starting to put words together into bigger phrases.
-The other night when Darrell and I were racing on the wii, Steven was coloring pictures...or so we thought. I looked over to see him drawing fantastic blue circles all over the wall. I went on to tell him the wall is not for coloring on, and got out the lysol wipes to clean it up. He helped me to wipe it up, and the next morning, when he saw the wipes, he said, "Washie blue crayon!!" And he wanted to do it again.
-He now has started counting, and really does a great job. He will start by going 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. once he gets to 8, he goes, 8, 8, 8, 8, until someone prompts him with 9. He then proceeds from 10, 11, 12, 13, 13, 13, until you say 14, then he'll go 15, 16, 17, 18!
-He knows all of his letters, but is still working on saying his ABC's all in a row. They go something like: a, b, c, d, f, g, h, j, k, o, p, r, s, u, x, y, z!
Last week, we drove up the mountain to see the leaves. Steven kept telling us they were purple and pink, when clearly they were orange, yellow, green, and red :) He had fun getting some pictures nonetheless...
Happy Fall Everyone!!!

Girls Weekend!

This is a little behind, but a few weekends ago, my mom, my sister, and sis-in-laws got together for a relaxing weekend of fun and time with each other!
Friday night, we all met up and had a delicious dinner. Then we had a fantastic fondue party that evening!!
Saturday dawned early, where we got to do a session in the Provo temple before heading out to lunch, then going to a play at the Hale Center Theatre. It was a great weekend, and it was fun to be able to bond with these girls more!!
