Candids

Having fun with mom's gloves... he's been kind of obsessed with them lately.. He looked so darn cute in these overalls, I had to get a picture. His face was pretty cheesy cute!
I don't think this really looks like him...but he's still a cheeser!
Giving himself a yogurt/ravioli bath
He was watching me sweep the floor, so I told him what I was doing. Then I gave him the broom, and he walked around for about 10 minutes saying "swee swee"
A little photoshop fun with a cute picture in his hat from Aunts Mel and Janae

MLKJ Holiday!

Since Darrell has to work on the Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Steven and I ventured off to go bowling with some of Steven's cousins, my mom and my sister. Steven had never been bowling before, but he definitely soon became a BIG fan! HE LOVED IT!!!
He loved being able to push the ball down the ramp...
Then he would watch in awe for a minute, befor pushing the ramp down the bowling lane... He had the push with the palm technique which served him well
Here is a little video...although not that exciting...

A basic, yet wonderful, day!

This afternoon, I was just playing with Steven (what else is new?:) ) As we were playing, I just had this overwhelming feeling of being blessed! I am so blessed to have such a special little guy to spend each and every day with all the time! I definitely know the Lord sent him to our family right when we needed him, and I absolutely would not trade any of my "planned dreams" that were on my list before he was born. I'm perfectly content that instead of getting a degree before having kids, I got Steven and then the degree. I'm thankful for the gospel to help me know that being a wife and mother are the reason why I am here, and I only know it's going to get better every single day!
In case I don't put enough pictures of this cute little guy on here, here are some more for you!
I got this amazing exercise ball for Christmas, and Steven used to be afraid of it, but now he LOVES it!Playing with daddy! I got a bunch of clothes from my sis-in-laws when Steven was born, so today I went through starting to find 18 month clothes, so I can know what I need to start buying on clearance sales. He thought it would be great to dress himself and have a party!
These brown eyes are basically irresistable!
Looking at the window after Daddy went to Elders Quorum meeting. He was trying to find him.

My cute boy

Steven and I have so much fun all the time being here at home. The only way I can get him to smile at the camera is if I ask him to show me his teeth. Then we get a cute cute cheeser smile!
This morning, he was sort of "complaining whining" so i went in to see what was the matter. When I went in his room, he smiled up at me, but didn't stand up like he usually does....and I soon discovered why. He thought it might be fun to see just how skinny his legs are and fit them into one pajama leg.
Close-up cuteness...pretend his cheeks are not dabbled with eczema and that there is not a huge drool drip on his chin :)

Christmas!

We went to Richfield for Christmas this year, and it was great to be able to relax and enjoy the day! Our biggest Christmas present is causing to say good-bye to the old..... And say hello to the new!! I think this camera is telling me that it's name is Fritz. We've had a joyous 5 days together so far, and we look forward to great times in the future! Steven got a doodle-pro from Santa and had a great time!
Cute new Christmas outfit
Slow and steady..the way to open christmas presents I guess!
Cute new jammies!

Christmas #2 - Rowley Family Style

The Rowley's had their annual Christmas shin-dig on Friday and Saturday after Christmas this year. It was fun to have everyone together! I think there are 34 of us now, so it was kind of exciting!

Sunday

Sunday was a fun and exciting day, starting with church early at 9:00 a.m. Steven looked cute in his little suit, even though he squints when he sees a camera now! :) He found this black toy thing and stuck it on his nose...it was hilarious, and looks like a lovely little mustache Hanging out with the cousins
On our way home, we stopped in Springville at Grandma and Grandpa Cropper's house. Steven got very spoiled from his aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents.
Jana watching closely to see what she gave Steven
Playing with the Elmo's World telephone Grandpa Cropper gave him
He definitely knows what to do with a phone!

Let it Snow!

Despite the fact that it took me 45 minutes to get to the doctors office this morning, when it should have only taken like 10, I really am loving seeing the snow. I love to look out my window and see how beautiful everything is. I particularly like seeing the snow on the pine trees. They're kind of in the back of the pictures...enjoy!

It's done! Hooray!

So, back in October I was doing some shopping for flannel to make blankets for some of my friends who were expecting. As I was rummaging through the material, I saw this material that said "Quilt me!" (as my sis-in-law told her daughter, "Material talks to Janell!) Anyway, so I bought all the stuff to make a baby quilt thinking this was going to be a piece of cake project for all the ladies to do when I was in Richfield for the deer hunt weekend.
As we began quilting, I decided flannel is about 10 times harder to quilt than tricot....needless to say, we didn't finish the quilt on deer hunt weekend.
Thanks to my fabulous mother, sister, and three of my sis-in-laws, we got a ton of progress done on it that weekend. They came to a decision after working so hard on it that I am not allowed to give it away. My niece, Hayley, loved the doggies on the fabric. She was so cute. (I did make her a pillow that weekend, because I wanted to see something done with my cute cute fabric)
As we got started, it was starting to turn out like I thought it would
Well, after deer hunt weekend, I didn't have much time to work on it, because I knew it would take over my time and I would get behind on homework. However, now that the semester ended last week, it's what I've just been doing with basically all of my time! And this morning, I finally completely finished it! It turned out really cute, if I do say so myself. Steven is in love with it, so we'll see if I pack it away and save it, or give it to him.
This is what the back looks like.
