Fun times with my boy!

So, Steven always sleeps like this, like I'm sure many babies do. It's cute, though, because every time Darrell looks at him, he goes, "Touchdown Cougars!!" So, here ya go BYU! Beat New Mexico this weekend! Steven really isn't too fond of his baths yet. Poor little guy. He always looks so concerned and isn't very happy when we do.

Birthday!

This week was my birthday, and I think it was the first year where it hasn't really felt like my birthday. I think by the middle the day I'd forgotten. However, my cute husband bought me flowers, and I felt like a birthday girl again!

Changing Already

Day 1 in this world: What an exciting world to see! I think I'll be alert all of the time! Day 9: Ya know, mom is fun and all, but maybe I'm tired. Day 9: Yep, I am tired, I think I'll take up a new hobby. Day 11: Yep, this new hobby suits me just fine! I think I'll keep it.

Getting Settled

We are having so much fun with our cute little new one! So much fun! This week, Aunt Sheri came up, and gave Steven the first outfit that has fit him well! So...we had to take lots of pictures!

He's Here!!

Proof of my love of IV's....this picture is for those who want to know what I looked like....this was 2 a.m. mind you! After all the anticipation, our baby decided he wanted to come before we were scheduled to be induced, and he wanted things his own way!! I went into labor about 9:30 P.M. Sunday evening, with contractions starting about 4 minutes apart. We went to the hospital at 2:00 a.m., and they almost sent me home, because I was barely dilated to a 1, but by some miracle, I dilated to a 3, and they hooked me up. I actually did get an epidural, due to the fact that I was throwing up through my contractions...not enjoyable. The doctor broke my water at 8:30 a.m., and I was a seven, and they thought our baby would be here by noon. However, he still stayed in there, and they started pitocin at noon, and I started pushing at 3:00 p.m. After a few changes, and the use of a vacuum, Steven Darrell Cropper arrived to us at 6:12 P.M. on monday September 10. he weighed 7 lbs, 7 oz, and was 20 inches long. We surely love him! He's so much fun!! We're doing well, and Grandma Rowley has been helping us catch up on some missed sleep from the 21 hour labor. hooray!! Hope you enjoy the pictures!

The Due Date?

Today is Sept. 5. My due date. And so far, I sit, and watch my baby kick my stomache, and feel him play in my ribs. That's been his favorite so far. I always did think the doctor was a little early with my due date...but who knows! But yes, we know the most I will be pregnant is one more week. I have had a total of like three contractions over the past week though...maybe we're starting to make progress! I shall keep you updated as much as I can! Thanks everyone!

No Baby Yet

For those who want to know, we do not have a baby yet. Baby Cropper is actually due Sept. 5, so six days from today, but at my doctor's appointment, she said I was still not dilated, and barely effaced...so nothing exciting to report. We know for a fact if we do not have the baby within the next week-two weekish, she will be inducing me on the 11th or 12th. We shall keep all updated! We are planning for him, and think I should go into fast labor immediately following the BYU-Arizona game this Saturday, September 1st. Pray for me, that I don't have to be induced!!

Aug. 19 - Happy Anniversary to Us!

I can't believe our anniversary is here already!! We went out to dinner on Thursday to celebrate, and I think we're going to watch our wedding video and eat our wedding cake that has been in my parents freezer for a year for the actual day. So exciting! I'm so in love with this tall dark and handsome prince charming! Amazing he's already put up with me one year. Now for eternity!

Silly Nephews

For the past month or so, I've been tending my brother's three kids twice a week while my sis-in-law goes to work. They're pretty fun, and my three-year old nephew, Colton gets a kick out of my growing belly. (I don't know why, seeing as my sis-in-law had a baby 4 months ago). Anyway, yesterday, he stuffed a blanket in his shirt and said, "Look Janell! I have a baby in my tummy too!" I laughed pretty hard, and was glad I had my camera.

Rowley Family "Campout!"

Where we stayed. So...this would probably qualify our campout as a retreat..but it was stil really fun! And what's a retreat without the big hot tub on the deck? Don't worry pregnancy-worryiers. It was only like 80 degress, and the most I ever did was put my feet in. I enjoyed the huge jetted tub in the master bedroom... :) The kids were bigger fans than anyone!

Heber City Aero Museum - Part 1

Part of our retreat, we took all the little kids to see the airplanes and stuff at the airport in Heber City. It is an actual air museum. My nephew, Colton, especially loved it. He was running all around like an airplane making fighter plane noises.

Heber City Aero Museum - Part 2

Who knew you could have so much fun in Heber City? From stuffed skunks hanging out of airplanes, to cute kids having matching t-shirts. We surely had fun!

Showers of Fun!

Darrell's mom and aunts threw me a shower this past weekend, and we were blessed to get a lot of wonderful stuff! We got a baby bath, a travel pack and play, a bouncer, and a lot of cool toys and books. It was so much fun! Grandma Rowley gave us cute Precious Moments bedding. It's Noah's Ark. Of course, in honor of our Girls Camps skit my fourth year...:) Another shot. Look at the cute stuffed animals we have so far! I love it!
